What happens when you mix Reggae and an old Scottish hymn on a council estate?
I love the lyrics Robbert Murray Mc'Cheyne wrote for his hymn 'When This Passing World Is done.' However, I felt that it really needed a new melody for us lot on the estate to sing. So I wrote a Reggae tune for it. I think that roots reggae is a great tool for contextualising worship music, cos everyone likes it, across many ethnicities and age ranges.
